Wood Privacy Fence with Horizontal Topper in Cave Spring, VA
The homeowner in Cave Spring wanted a little more height without anything ornate. Solid boards run the full length of the backyard for privacy at ground level, and a three-board horizontal topper adds height while letting light through up top, so it doesn’t feel like a wall around the yard.

A bottom board along the base keeps the pickets off the ground. On the same job, dog-ear pickets and a wide gate on heavy black hinges close off the side of the house.

What Michael says
Hey, Michael with Magnolia Fencing here. We just finished up a custom privacy wood fence. Client wanted a little bit more height, but didn’t want anything super ornate, so we ended up with this. I think it turned out really nicely.
